side by sides
A side by side is a four wheeled all terrain vehicle. It usually fits two people and is a more comfortable ride than a normal four wheeler. A side by side usually has a box in the back to put stuff in so they work great if you need to get a job done. Some come with the option of a dump box, this make it easier to haul dirt or anything like that. Its takes more to make these street legal than a regular four-wheeler because you need to add a windshield and doors. They are called side-by-sides because the seats are next to each other. they can go into any type of terrain that a four wheeler or quad can. Some people say the side by side is the best type of ATV because its much safer because of the roof and the fact that you can take another person along and still be safe.

I would agree with everything that you said. Side by sides are much safer. They are great for work and are also pretty fun. Regular atvs are probly more fun but also less safe. Great post Nathan
ReplyDeleteAre they as fast as a regular four-wheeler? I would definitely enjoy the safety that the roof would offer me.
ReplyDeleteI agree these are much safer than 4-wheeler. My Grandpa had a gator actually and they go very fast and are great on a ranch. I love that it has a roof on it. The one my Grandpa has has doors on it which he made by hand.
ReplyDeleteWhat does it take to make a regular 4 wheeler street legal? Are they considered more like motorcycles while side by sides are more like cars? How much weight can you haul? Can you attach a little trailer to the back to haul on a large property? Are they more common for fun or work?
